Ohio

Today has been very interesting to say the least and it is not over yet.  First of all, yesterday, there were reports of possible tornado action starting today so we decided to get an early start on the road today in hopes of getting ahead of the storm. Then the report changed and the heavy rain was supposed to start early instead of later. However, the rain held off and we traveled under just clouds.  We had to contend with toll roads again today.  We were traveling on I-80/I-90 and I calculated that today's toll would probably be $86.25!!   YIKES. We were supposed to stay on I-90 when they split, however, something happened.  I think I looked at the map and all of a sudden we were on I-80 and off the toll for a total this segment of $25.00. Still wonder what they do with the toll money as the roads are not all that great. This wrong turn actually turned out very well as we were able to stay further away from Cleveland and all it's traffic and we were off the toll and met up with I-90 in a perfect area out of town with no extra miles to travel.  The roads here are so different than any we have ever seen. Traffic going the same direction can be split with a median between the lanes.  And again we had 4-6 lanes all through the Cleveland area. Too much traffic ! ! !   Then there was the weather today.  Appears that we were successful in staying ahead of the really bad stuff.  There was a tornado warning and the campground told us to head for the bathrooms if the warning came here and they said that they haven't had a tornado since the 60's.  Fun ! ! ! Don't think our motor home basement would work in this situation.  LOL. It seems we are north and east of the touchdown areas, thank goodness.  Rain is coming in waves, none for a few minutes and then hard for a few minutes.  Not like home at all.  Thankfully, still not much rain. The warning is supposed to end at 9:00 pm and it is 8:00 now.  Our plans are to stay here tomorrow night also and by Friday the weather is supposed to back to a cooler version of normal ! Nice...  Then off to up state New York.
