Travel Day Today

Glad to leave our current campground.  The acorns hitting the RV sounded like someone was throwing rocks at us.  Not nice to wake up to in the middle of the night. But wow, this travel day started out like a "normal" travel day until we got to this bridge and the Road to Rodanthe.  Oh my, the Atlantic on one side and the sound on the other.  Amazing ! !   

We hear about Cape Hatteras on the weather reports all the time at home. Here we are. It is quite breezy but nice and warm.  We can see the sound from our RV and walked a short distance to the ocean, just across the road and through the other half of this campground.  The water seems much warmer than the Pacific but not as clear and not a very large sandy area.  Forgot to take a camera so hopefully we will have time again to go over there.  Love this part of the coast so far ! ! !
