On the way to Skagway

What a beautiful drive today, Friday, July 29, 2016.  You cannot describe and picture do not really do it justice ! ! 

Our biggest treat was seeing a spot up the road and slowing way down to discover a grizzly and her twins. She rounded them up without a care that we were there as well as two motorcycles.  She looked both ways and then carefully herded them across the street.. Sooooo cute!

US Customs..  everyone gets asked different questions.  We had it really easy. Only asked Ken where we were from and where we were headed. No questions about food or anything else today.

The tour bus people all had to unload and go through the process..









Just beautiful scenery all along the way!!

 This beautiful wood structure used to be used to get gravel down to the ships to move it out 

 At first I thought that this was a lichen all over the hills but when we got closer it is a really small white flower in huge groups...  Another amazing thing to see here !

The fireweed in this area is still in bloom.  Guess winter is still a ways off here.

Down a very steep 12 mile road into Skagway.  Couldn't take pictures cuz I really couldn't look ! !   When I did, it was beautiful again!  LOL
