Day 2 of the Clamming Permit

Oh boy, what a difference a day makes.  Today is cold, cloudy, typical coastal weather so I decided not to go clamming this morning.  Ken went with Charlie and Joanne.  They drove to Ocean Park to clam cuz Charlie thought that the clams were a lot bigger when you went north!!   What?!?!?!  He found that they were about the same size as out from the campground here on the south end of the peninsula.  LOL.  Guys are so funny sometimes ! !  They all limited again. Easy, peasy !!  After naps, we decided to go visit Oysterville on the north end. We had actually seen an episode of Northwest Backroads recently that featured the oyster farms in Oysterville.  

When we got back to camp we decided it was happy hour time and Charlie enjoyed the oysters and we all enjoyed the pickled herring and smoked salmon spread that we purchased. Joanne had made a four layer mexican dip and so we stuffed our faces and called it dinner ! !   

Tomorrow is the last day of our clamming permits.  Huuuummmm.
