Fantasy RV Tours 2017 Reunion Rally, Mesa, AZ

Lots of work goes into putting on one of these Reunion Rally's.  But...... the result is great ! !  Started yesterday with Orientation and dinner.  Today we spent the day touring the local area. Went to Superstition Mountain Museum, Canyon Lake and Goldfield Ghost Town.  Ken got some great pictures.

Tonight we are having fun with a Superhero Party.  Superhero doesn't just mean Marval, but anyone who had an influence in your life.  Ken is going as Art Wolfe and I will be his assistant. Should be fun ! !   LOL

These are just a few of the costumes!

Our last tour was back to the Arizona Opry..  We love that venue. This time it was a variety show and we think it was the best of the three shows we saw this month.  Food was excellent again.

We were able to add another couple to our Alaska trip so we are very happy... Now on to Advanced Training...

Apache Junction, AZ

Got into Countryside RV Resort as Thousand Trails did a trade with Valley Verde so we can be here for $4 per night.  There are a lot of people who live in park models full time (the season) and they do not think about us who are here for two weeks. They charge for all their activities to pay for all the things they want for the full timers, interesting. A lot of Thousand Trails people come here too. Jim & Sharon are leaving tomorrow so we went to dinner with them last night at the Elks. Here is the sunset taken from the Elks..

Jim & Darlene are coming here tomorrow. Mike and Marjorie will be here next week and then I find that Linda and Ron from our Alaska adventure are nearby so hopefully we can meet up with them.

This afternoon we took Mike and Marjorie's advice and went to Barleens Arizona Opry Dinner Theater. They do a lot of different shows and we bought for their Rockin' & Rollin' through the Years. It was 50's and 60's rock and roll.  The best dinner show ever. Went to the matinee and it is the same menu as dinner, pot roast, mashed potatoes, gravy, chicken breast, rice, mixed veggies, roll, drinks and chocolate cake. Whew !! So good too! They give you an hour for the meal. Then a full hour of music, a 20 minute break and then another hour of non-stop music. There were usually about 10 people on the stage at a time. All singing and playing. You are there at least four hours and it was only 1.5 miles from the RV Park. So good, we knew every single song. We hope to go again and take the crowd and see Country Jubilee.!!!
We just broke a record from 1972 of nine days in a row of over 90 degrees. Cooled down to the 80's today and ended the streak ! !  LOL  Windows open and breezes blowing !

Working hard for Fantasy RV Tours. Got our customer list and made all our first calls. A lot of time spent getting ready for our trip to Alaska this summer. Hoping we have as great a group as last summer. Will be a fun trip ! !

Tonight going back to Barleen's Arizona Opry for a mini-reunion with Jim & Darlene, Ron & Linda Schreiner and Jim & Donna O'Connor.  Mike and Marjorie Moulds will join us too. Will be a fun night.  Gonna see the Country Jubilee. Leave tomorrow for Mesa and work at the Reunion Rally and then Advanced Training before heading home the middle of April.
