Well, guess I lied this morning when we left Idaho... Our first stop is near the Radium Hot Springs and we have a very full service park which, we hear, is not the norm here in Canada. Soooooooo, we have park internet tonight and tomorrow. The drive here was absolutely beautiful. I expected it to look just like "our" Northwest. But...... the Canadian Rockies are amazing. Many "layers" of mountains, wide valleys and lots of grassland with forests right next to them. Thought we had a lot of water in Oregon, however, the lakes and rivers along the highways in Idaho and Canada are far more. Canada welcomed us with rain but we have also had a lot of sunshine. I didn't take near enough pictures. Well, I guess I cannot post the pictures tonight. The internet is not transferring pictures from my phone. Anyway, absolutely beautiful area surrounded by mountains.
Sheep on the hillside. They certainly were elusive ! !
OMG almost forgot to talk about our border crossing at Eastport. We had heard so many stories about nightmare crossings. Our border guard asked us for our passports and asked a few questions and wished us a good day ! ! WOW, we were happy.
Also, almost 10:00pm here and still light, however, the sun is now gone ! ! LOL

Canada Here We Come !
Last night was our last night in Coeur D'Alene and we had our Welcome Dinner at the Floating Restaurant about a half mile from camp. Beautiful views out all the windows and great food. While waiting for the guests to arrive we watched a baby duckling try to find it's parents. The baby geese tried chasing it away and under the restaurant it would swim. When we came out after dinner they were all gone so hopefully the duckling met up with its parents. What a story!! LOL.
We are heading out this morning for Radium Hot Springs in Canada. We understand that the cell and internet service through Canada will be pretty non-existant so no posts for a while. I think it will be about July 6th before we will have good service again. Last picture of camp..
Soooooooo, "see" you all in a couple of weeks ! ! !

Official Start of Tour
Today is the official start of our 60 Premier Alaska Tour with Fantasy RV Tours. We are working as Tail Gunners on this trip which means, among other things, that we will be bringing up the rear ! ! LOL Most of the guests have been in the park for a couple of days so we had informal happy hours the last three nights and everyone is getting to know each other before the trip starts. Lots of getting little things taken care of on the rigs and getting them all washed up. Tonight we held the Fantasy Welcome Party with plenty of food and drinks. Great time with the people we are spending the next two months with. This park has been great with the best kitchen I have ever seen in a park. Nice to be able to bake brownies here.... LOL
Tomorrow we have our first drivers meeting in the morning and then a great dinner at the floating restaurant at the end of the road nearby. Actually it is walking distance if this weather clears up. We are getting weather advisories tonight, threatening 38 degrees tonight...

Coeur d'Alene
Boy, the afternoon sure changed in Umatilla. Clear blue skies and back to high 70's. No more rain. The evening was beautiful..
Off for a new park tomorrow where we will be spending a few days.
After about four hours of travel we arrived in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho early afternoon and discovered that I marked our calendar incorrectly and we are here a day early. Oh my, I hate this senior brain sometimes ! ! ! Soooooo, we really have a head start and didn't even realize til we are checking in here and had to pay for two nights instead of one. Last night the guy couldn't find our reservation but didn't say anything since his park was half empty. Oh my... Absolutely beautiful travel today. Lots of old memories as we passed the cutoffs for Moses Lake and Othello. Most of the drive was along the Columbia River and as anyone who has traveled that road knows, it is spectacular ! ! Look at that rock formation!
Further on the landscape changed into more like Sisters, Oregon with pine trees and all. We are now at a little over 2,000 feet elevation. The weatherman is threatening rain again tonight.. Hopefully all will be clear in a couple days and we will start with good weather.
Tomorrow morning will consist of a run to Costco... Only two miles away.. LOL

Alaska Here We Come ! !
Started out this morning on this grand adventure. This trip will be our first working for Fantasy RV Tours. We are so excited to be Tail Gunners for their guided Premier 60 Day Alaska Tour. We feel very prepared as we have been able to spend quite a bit of time with our Wagon Masters, Jim & Darlene Weir. We first met them at the Palm Springs Thousand Trails Park when they were giving presentations. Then we found out that they live in Ocean Park, when they are home, only about five hours from our home ! ! LOL Soooooo, that has taken us a couple of times to the Long Beach Peninsula in Washington for some great training.
Amazing travel day. We don't like to go too long so we left home and planned our first stop in Umatilla, Oregon four and a half hours away and right on the Columbia River. However, soon as we got parked and set up, the rains started. It has been hotter than you know what at home but the change was today. After about 96 yesterday, it is pouring rain now and has dropped six degrees in the last hour. Now 78 ! ! OMG the thunder is loud !
Tomorrow we are on to our first camp for the trip starting in Cour d'Alene, Idaho. We are there fours days before the actual start of the trip. Part of our job is getting everyone checked in and welcomed to the "party".. Can't wait~
